Desktop Metal Production System 3D Printer

Introducing the Desktop Metal Production system–the first metal 3D printing system for mass production. The installation of the first Production System is scheduled for Q1 2019 to a Fortune 500 company among Desktop Metal’s early Pioneer customers. Additional customer installations at major automotive, heavy duty and leading metal parts manufacturers will follow throughout 2019, with broad availability in 2020.

The Desktop Metal Production system is based on a new approach to metal 3D printing called Single Pass Jetting (SPJ). This technology was created by the inventors of the binder jetting and the single pass inkjet processes, Single Pass Jetting builds metal parts in a matter of minutes instead of hours. Single Pass Jetting is bi-directional. Desktop Metal combine all the necessary steps for printing so that whenever there is movement, there is printing.

The production system is ideal for the production of complex, high-performance metal parts at high volumes. Since no tooling is needed, it can outperform traditional manufacturing processes like casting while adding major benefits of additive manufacturing like production and mass customisation.

The Desktop Metal Production system can bring innovation from extremely low-run applications like aerospace and specialty automotive to the mainstream.

Funding in the most part, is provided by our sister company Stanford Marsh Finance(a division of the Stanford Marsh Group) or via our numerous strategic finance partners/brokers.

Rates are frequently checked to ensure competitiveness in the market place and you will find our terms highly attractive.  With options such as fixed term contracts, step rentals which make payments lower in the earlier years allowing time to grow the use from your new device.  Or deferred payment, enabling you to benefit from the technology ahead of when you start paying.
