PVA

Water soluble support material

MakerBot PVA Support Material

PVA is a water-soluble support material that is compatible with many lower temperature model materials such as PLA and PETG. Because PVA is water-soluble it is very office-friendly and is a great option for printing the most complex geometries in a prototyping environment.

Removing PVA Support Material

Once your Method print is finished, you will need to dissolve the support material. PVA can be dissolved in tap water. You will need the following items to dissolve PVA.

Wash Tank: Our primary recommendation is to use a dedicated wash tank to wash your parts.

Bin & Agitator: If you don’t have a wash tank, you can also use an agitator, such as a submerged water pump, in any kind of size-appropriate, water-tight container
